Oven Cleaning Process

Please don’t worry or be embarrassed, whatever the state of your oven, we have seen worse!!

To start with we remove everything that can physically come out of the oven, including all panels and the fan where applicable. These are then put into a special dip tank located in my van that is filled with a fresh 100% biodegradable solution before every clean, we then leave them to soak to help remove all the grease and burnt on residue that has built over time. Whilst they are soaking we continue to clean the inside of your oven.

Where possible we remove and disassemble the door so that all components and glass surfaces can be thoroughly cleaned.

We remove all fittings on the front of the oven where appropriate, so that we can clean them all individually ensuring that any grease and dirt that has built up behind them is completely removed.

Finally, we clean the inside of your oven, replace the door, panels and racks, then finish off with a final polish to put that shine back into your oven leaving it looking like new.

What are the risks and problems associated with soiled/poorly maintained ovens?

A soiled/poorly maintained oven is risky:

  • It consumes more energy when the rubbery gasket is worn out.
  • The food is not well cooked as it should be. Hot air might not circulate equally inside the oven when the walls are not smooth and the ventilator is under-performing.
  • It might produce smoke and offensive fumes while burning left-over food splatters and spills during baking time. This could also present severe fire hazards.

Therefore, keeping your oven clean and well-maintained is highly important.
